Mental Block

Mental Block

A Poem by justjenn_2u
"

Sometimes I have so many things in my head that I want to say but I can't find the words. This short poem explains that!

"

Fingers clench the artist's tool

Mind re-energizing its fuel

Tears fall as thoughts prevail

Words stuck in mind's jail

Beautiful red drips on paper

Stuck in minds jail, but set free in few words. Open the mind and the prisoner set fee. You share your gift well . I like the referance to the writing in life blood. short and sweet.

Wow Jenn - this was very vivid for me. It actually says much more than not being able to write something. I loved the "Words stuck in mind's jail..."

Excellent job on this.

Now, I loved this piece! Somethings are just so hard to get out and into the open. But still they must find escape.

This seems to say you cry tears of blood in your effort to get the words out.

Well written and easy to read.

Interesting last line in the poem, "Beautiful red drips on paper". As if you are crushing rock to get the blood that will be used as ink to write your ideas down. Know all to well how depression and anxiety can erect an invisible barrier for the flow of ideas from our brains to the page before us. Thank you for putting words what a Writer's Block is to you, in this poem.
