Just Leave

Just Leave

A Poem by justjenn_2u

Realization, we are self centered

So does the strength lie within

Unseen and rough terrain, I have entered

Smile with no scars on your skin

Your judgement is casting people to hell

Failure can kill the spirit

From your utmost pedestal, I soon fell

I taste your blood, you bigot

You’re the greedy one eating my poison

Never wanted you to care

Drink more of the shallow and the broken

Escape lures, I leave no prayer

Very heartfelt jenn. Your writing is a must read. I feel that this piece has a destination, , meaning it is discretely directed at a certain recipient, much like my own work. I look forward to seeing more pieces penned from your talented hand. Great job!!!

I feel this piece, I believe we can be trapped to believe and I resent the wasted time spent on such an ordeal. This poem has kept it real from the start and I appreciate the wake up call, excellent job.

What a powerful, driving thrust of thoughts and emotions... the anger that can rise from the pain of haters... A deep, dark enchantment.

no punches pulled here, hard hitting and direct, would not want to be on the other side of that, but i did like it, well penned...

We're all a little vain. Failure is what we learn from; only admitting defeat kills the spirit. Nicely written.

Ohh that was direct and hard. Glad it wasnt aimed at me . No one makes up who we are except us unless we let them

Thanks so much for stopping by. That's a good habit. : )
There is a saying, "what other people think of you is none of your business" and I thought of that while reading your words. It's difficult to ignore the opinions of others, but don't let someone else shoot your self esteem down. This poem is empowering and strong. I liked it. Lydi**

I write from my heart. I follow my instinct. I live impulsively. I never feel like my feet are firmly grounded as I am a free spirit. I am a very intuitive person, sometimes to the point it hurts .. more..
