Crushed

Crushed

A Poem by Justice

This time I’ll put the pen away,

Let all my aspirations go,

Leave my heart behind,

Go to the world.

So they can pull the clothes from my back,

The skin from my body,

And watch as I drown in blood

While my empty eyes show my soul

My words abandon me,

My body betrays.

My heart, cut to pieces,

Cut as I pulled it from perfect hands.

So now I pull the cloths from my back,

The skin from my body,

Drown in my blood.

To see what I have left,

A box filled with broken dreams.

A head full of screams,

Cursed voices…

They tear beyond all others.

Cuts so deep, yet body unbroken

They bleed with out end.

Now the end.

For it is all that is left.

We all those bad days. S**t happens, you know? It's called life. The great thing though, is that bad days will not last forever. We are responsible for our own happiness. We get to decide if we let something get the best of us. You portrayed that quite beautifully. This poem was emotional and ful of heart. I really enjoyed reading it. Great job. :)
