my heart waits

my heart waits

A Poem by Justice

The thunder roars in my chest

right now I'm doing my best.

I try to hold all I can bare

as I wait for the right time.

Imagining stroking your hair

I hope someday you'll be mine.

Wishing I could be with you now

but I can't because of my own vow.

To never give my heart away

until I know who I am.

Until that fateful day

I'll be your friend

even to the end.

My heart waits.

I really really really like this! It is so beautiful and sad. I guess you have a good point too. What if the person who you give your heart to before you know who you are doesn't really like who you really are. I hadn't ever thought of that.
