no longer [are we safe]

no longer [are we safe]

A Poem by Prose-full

                                                        No longer are we safe,

'justice' has been tossed out with the pride of their* human nature,
tearing of reputations of those who are to 'protect' us,
-and it's no ones fault, but theirs;...
...their attitude of a [personal] moral code has been flushed away to no end,

[perhaps they have forgotten] When one takes an oath, and recites a creed;
it should be the answer to your actions, or lack there of...
not the raising of your hand to strike a human being because of your existing rage...

you have chosen the wrong door too often now, and your choices should now be exemplified..
the cycle of 'pain by protector' has resurfaced to a sounding extreme,
[but did it
ever truly go away]-
Mr. King* was not the last;
never-the-less,
he shouldn't have been the first.

Even those who have even-handedly been accused, of their perspective crime(s), has rights,
and it is unfortunate that they (rights) have been swept under the rug and buried way down to hardly be found..
..it is unfortunate to have been on this earth for 80** years,
to be feeble,
to be without memory of what has come and gone...
..it seems as though- they have decided that walking about,
needing an unknown protection;
...is a crime..

Forceful actions;
accusation of less force served...
then here comes the media to show truth in all of your lies;
what you said 'happened', in actuality never occurred..

Everyday, now-
head-lining the news, the chat at the bus stop,
crowding the interface of YouTube, the top story on any channel;
it's heard here and about, the degrading of the uniform, and yet again,
it's no ones fault but their own.

It is not [and should never be] in nature to be afraid of someone who will 'protect' you..
you 'fear' God, but in an utmost respectful way, not fearing walking outside only to find-
that He will strike you down unmercifully for no reason at all...
...because He is our Protector, and all the while it has been proven[in my personal experience and continues to be], that He loves us;
and indeed, He is,- Our Truth and Protection.

There is,
no love shown..
no longer,

....it has been washed away;
poured out along the wayside of the ['un]justice']
of
"Protect and Serve"
it is rinsed away as crimson at the crime scene...
..with the stripes;...
...the stripes of;...
.......of..a uniform.

*Rodney Glen King, who on March 3, 1991, was the victim of police brutality, committed by Los Angeles police officers. A bystander, George Holliday, videotaped much of the incident from a distance. The footage showed LAPD officers repeatedly striking King with their batons. A portion of this footage was aired by news agencies around the world, causing public outrage that raised tensions between the black community and the LAPD
