i know He has the key to mend

a bit bitter..once battered

feeling a bit broken..

a bit shattered from the past;

God please pick up the pieces again..

 

...i know You have the keys to mend...

 

i still get to have my emotions

no one can take my turn, but me..so,

if i seem distant, it's not because i don't love you;

i am processing..my love for you has not failed,

 

please don't take this phase personal..

it's taking place so that i can take my place,

some changes are being made so that i can change...

still yet..i need time to own these feelings;

 

i require a little time to lick my wounds
i promise you, if God continues to see fit,

we have many happy days ahead;

days to lay in His sunshine.

 

and these days may be a little shorter, but

for the better it will be...

...paths smoothed and polished

roads widened for comfort.

 

my life..my growth..

..my spiritual life,

it is yet time..

...for a new period of growth..

 

it's not always pleasant to grow...

feelings of irritation, and "go to hell looks"

but if i continue to be thankful where i am,

and knowing God's love can keep me;

 

knowing that when i get on the other side
i can smile brightly again

things will be smooth again

however, during this time..

 

..i can remain grateful;

being aware of His omnipotence in my life,

continuing to go to my sacred place..

..bearing witness...that He is real and that

 

He is my Source,

that He must, must, be the center of my life
