....i'm only acting.

....i'm only acting.

A Poem by Prose-full

i am only acting

when i say, i hate you

for i hate you because you will not love me

i am only acting when

i wish you ill will

i really just wish you well

i am only acting when i pretend you don't exist..

i am only acting when i change my name so i will not see yours

i am not really good at acting

for i am a writer

these are the only things i really can't pretend

to put in writing

for this is the only truth i know

is to put pen to paper

and my soul into words

i can only act that i don't care

who is laying next to you

for it eats me at core

i can only act as if i am not ready to move on

for that is really the truth

i really am

i am not pretending when i say

 i am ready for love

because truth is my heart still beats for it

and if you can not cater to my heart then

i am done acting

My favorite lines of this poem. A nice flip of the script. Strong words and I love them.

You rock!!

I have certainly been there; trying to feign hatred, pretending not to care. It's a tedious facade; one that appears endless, as we have been doing so since the dawn of time. Yet, somehow, we cannot seem to stop...
