"CANNON"A Poem by Prose-fullA poem dedicated to a friend who recently had a son. It is written from a fathers perspective to his third son, Cannon.CANNON, Our dear Cannon, you are our newest gift from God, we are so very grateful for you Thank You, God, for our son.
One day you, yourself will be able to, by voice, thank your mother, but for now I am honored, Alissa, My precious wife: Thank you, for my son. Thank you, My Queen, for our newborn son
Your brothers, Kade and Grayson welcome you We all welcome you son with all the love and affection we can give.
I hope within your first few days here on earth; you have felt Welcomed _________________________ Son, I can hardly wait to teach you all the manly things you may become interested in,
from tackle football to tackling the worlds stimuli you are bound to encounter, your first grade crush to your first true love, and asking me to help you tie your first necktie to asking me to borrow the car on prom night..
Your mother will help you pick out flowers for your special 'her' She will tell you things like how much a woman likes for the door to be opened, and all those types of things you should know about. I will still be around, even if quietly in the background. ____________________________ Standing proud, camera ready on many occasions, i will be watching you grow into a preschooler. I'll be watching you play with your brothers watching them stand tall by your side, you will be wondering in awe why it is that Kade and Grayson are taller we will sit nervously hoping that you don't fall trying to keep up with them. _______________________ We pray that you will always know that we love you We are here for you and that, you are precious too; just as Kade and Grayson are precious.
Welcome, Cannon
