i found her

i found her

A Poem by Prose-full

when i found her,
she was broken..

she lay stretched on a cold wet concrete floor
she'd been crying so; her eyes"they looked like rain

she spoke weakly with a hoarse raspy voice,
her breathing was faint and shallow
she couldn't speak her words without a breaking into tears;
she would effortlessly begin to weep...

like a baby bird she reached out to me as if i had nourishing,
i was esculent in her eyes..

her body craved humanness,
"she was desperately in need of gentle touch
she managed to hold out her hand and,
she struggled, but also manged to whisper

"you found me,
i'm so glad you found me"

Beautiful story, beautiful poem! I love your use of the word "esculent". Very moving!

"her body craved humanness, she was desperately in need of gentle touch
she managed to hold out her hand and,
she struggled, but also manged to whisperyou found me,
"im so glad you found me"
