Educational MomentA Poem by Kimmee JeanAt school earlyListening to clacking of keyboards around me The rush of late assignment being due and projects being researched I sit in this library staring at my screen I should be doing this and I should be doing that
Yet my mind wanders
Should Batman or Green Lanturn be my topic? Should grade jelly ever be green? Should I get linux or windows? Should I back Occupy Wall Street and move with the Tea Bag?
Once again my mind wanders
Murmurs of converstaion and questions over resumes clicking of the mouse and groans from students I sit in this place, early once again I wait for class to start so I can listen to the drone of the week
I let my mind wander
Should we have a debate about some thing silly or serious? Should I stay with my major or go into Criminal Justice? Should I consider Safari versus Chrome? Should I actually finish more late work?
Yes, Once again, my mind wanders
The time comes to a close and the masses are off to class To sit with my classmates and laugh during lecture To actually pay attention during lab and do my work To come, learn, work, and leave like the other two days of the week that I'm here
Okay, come on mind, let's wander. © 2011 Kimmee JeanAuthor's Note
