Time and PoetryA Poem by Kimmee JeanI CAN'T STOP WRITING!
Time's grains continue down
And my eyes feel heavy My heart screams "FIVE MORE MINUTES!" While my mind sighs The words won't stop spilling onto this pad They flow like breezes around me Bringing relief and strength but make me cold Like all the emotion is letting go My anger and past My love and present My fears and my future Father Time taps his foot with impatience as He continues to wait for sleep to take me as well He feel frozen here, trapped Like the seconds never moved My feelings are rushing and gushing Like the very blood in my veins as my pen runs It frolics and dances upon this paper Maybe the Salsa? Cumbia? or maybe the Cha-Cha? Yet, as the dances come to a close So does this piece Time seems to return and move The heart feels relief and the mind, peace
