Just another tick as well as another tockA Poem by Kimmee JeanTime seems to facinate me todayWatching as Father Time does his work I feel myself drift Into neutrality that I was told was called DAYDREAMING
I feel time pass slowly Just as I feel a breeze pass But not as sweet Tick
My life seems to race through my head Like death had some reign But my heart does not quiver of fear Tock
Smiles, tears, screams and laughter Regrets and secrets all seem to run together In a stew of my memories and feelings Tick
I feel those drops form but I don't stop them They trail down my face but I don't touch them Splashing on my chest, they journey on Tock
What is it that makes the Waterworks begin? What makes the clock tick? What makes the world move?
As Father Time continues to Tend to the sands I come back to myself, out of that DAYDREAM © 2010 Kimmee JeanFeatured Review
