Nightly LonelinessA Poem by Kimmee Jeani wrote this over the summeranother night with only a pillow for confort
My back aches from the truama My heart burst from the abandonment My eyes burn from the insomnia My lungs scream from holding it all in
I'm lost On an island alone I look at toward the mainland Where people fake happiness together To try and be really happy
I glare at the other islands where people are stranded alone We're close enough to see but Yet, too far away to hear each other We're not faking and show our sadness So we broke off from the mainland To become gossip of the week
I look up at the planets where The people there really smile The people there really laugh The people are forever together Never a day away
So I sit alone at night To write about these islands, that mainland, and those planets
So I can finally sleep © 2008 Kimmee JeanReviews
