Ambition

Ambition

A Poem by Joshie MacCasim

Living life as it comes to me

I know I'm an anomaly

And it's not a bad thing

to live life a little differently

staring at the four white walls that imprison me

In a cell I get up out that man made box

within its walls my life a living hell

Because to entrap people inside your conformity is a sin

and if i'm like you I can't succeed and my motive in life is to win

and I'm a sore loser

so call me what you want please

my ambition is mines and mines alone it's what empowers me,

I'm inspired by the tinkers, poets and people of the arts.

creative  minds who've defied the lines of

people within the box

Inspired by those who label me crazy for being who their not

Ironically they judge me but they follow people like the stars

they're trend-setters you ain't you without a fresh pair of j's

you'll stand in line for hours wasting your life away

I who you call senseless am me no game's no gimmicks

I march to the beat of mu own band

don't give a care if you don't dig it

at the end of the day Im free from societies hand

my ambition to be me runs strong

because I know exactly who I am

do you?
