Don't ask.

Don't ask.

A Poem by justAlanna
"

A sense of lost direction.

"

Don't ask me

what is next,

where am I headed.

The path I lead is rocky, unknown,

and highly dreaded.

All that I know for sure is that I am

somewhere between the ground and the sun.

My spirit is ready to run.

I can't take this patient waiting,

take me to a shelter with golden plating.

Somewhere pretty.

Somewhere new.

Don't ask me for directions,

I'm already lost.

It doesn't matter, it comes at any cost.

Roll a die, flip a switch.

I may have already made a fatal glitch.

Just don't ask me,

I am begging you please.

Rescue me now,

for I was dreaming and got my head stuck in the trees.

Ask me

if you can love me.

Save me from my lonely plea.

Just do not ask me

where I will be.

Don't ask me for directions, I'm already lost..... I liked the pace and rhyming in this poem.
