I Read Her Words----Part One

Part one of a two part poem

I loved only once

never felt this again

have been so lonely 

heart hidden very deeply

I was watching the full moon

it's beams shining silvery

when suddenly, I feel these

words, but from where 

soft words of sincerity 

touching at my soul saying,

"Trust me Jimmy , please

open your heart to me"

I see who is writing

these calming words

a beautiful wondrous smile

blue eyes melting the

lock hidding my heart

I said to her, "I was hurt deeply"

"Jimmy, I won't hurt you.

I will forever hold your fragile

heart in my gentle loving hands!"
