My Inevitable Death

My Inevitable Death

A Poem by jusstuf
"

just some musings about my death

"
I know there will come the day
when I wil hear my Savior say,
"Jim, time to come home to be with Me."
His loving face, i cannot wait to see

I do not want to languish in pain while dying
nor to hear the anguish of people crying
yes, cancer has ravaged my body, but not my soul
no matter my circumstances, my mind remains whole

I am thankful for the life my Savior has given
and that my past transgressions have been forgiven
I am about to achieve my life long quest
a place for me in Heaven for my eternal rest

I will smile and say I love you before my final breath
and then, i will slip silently into my invetitable death
