Being Difficult

Tercets, no meter, no rhyme

Blue eyes says with a sigh,

"Jimmy, why are you so difficult?"

"What do you mean? Difficult?"

"It is your heart! You've locked it away!"

"I don't need it except to keep me alive!"

"But Jimmy, you are a wonderful man!"

"Blue eyes, I don't want to get hurt.

That doesn't feel good and it makes me unhappy."

"So, you will live the rest of your life without feelings?"

"I will not give this heart to just anyone. Trust issues!"

"Jimmy, what about me? You know that care about you.

I will take care of your heart and promise not to hurt it."

"Well, what are you trying to tell me, blues?"

"I want to be your friend, but most importantly,

I want us to become soulmates from now and through eternity."

"Then, you promise not to hurt my heart, ever!"

"It has happened to you before and with me, it

will never happen again, Jimmy! I pinky promise you!"

Just some free verse written in tercets form. Actually a conversation between Blue eyes and Jimmy!

Pinky promises are the best!!! maybe you need to stop being "difficult" and listen to blue eyes.. :-)) no body likes to be hurt... friends for life...
