The Storm

five syllables per line three lines and line four two syllables. can be any amount of stanzas

I hear the thunder

flashes of lightning

winds becoming quite

intense

trees are uprooted

creating damage

that resembles a

war zone

rain begins to fall

lightly at first but

now a torrential 

downpour

then quickly flash floods

has people scrambling 

to evacuate 

quickly

sadly there is death

young and old alike

this is the wrath of

nature

the town's folks rally

to help recover

the dignity which 

was lost

Author's Note

We see a lot of storms that devastated many parts of the country. Too many people young and old have been killed from those raging flash flood waters.
