"Shenandoah

I close my eyes, and lift
my head to the breeze
Swirling through my head
are the fragrants of your hair
Morning mist hovering
over Locust groves

Over that hill, I long to live,
to feel again
Turtle dove in flight..
enchant me this day..
 Memories riding on spring
clouds, floating by misty eyes

Deers standing aimlessly by the salt lick
and echoes of a stream
Softly whispering your name

Alabaster and honey flowers
all around you
Your love inhaled..exhaled

"Oh Shenandoah..I love you
Your mystery mist lying
in the valley below

Secrets given from
your bosom, and all below
that host of life was
not given without cost

So I lay here in your shade
to be..or not to be
that is my question..
"Oh Shenandoah..how I love you
You were the nature of my mind
"Giver of that life
Woman of my world..

What a heart felt tribute of love... interestingly it could be for a woman or nature itself. Well done and well stated . Aloha to you from this side of paradise... alisa
