Jump

Jump

A Poem by Lauren Emmons
"

What happens if you jump, but gravity fails to bring you down?

"
One time,
I simply jumped into the air.
But I did not fall down again.
I rose higher and higher into the sky,
I soared past the clouds and finally
out of the atmosphere.
I skimmed past the moon,
and grew higher and higher still.
I grazed sides of stars,
and whooshed past nebulas.
I reached the end of the universe
when there was simply nothing but black
surrounding me.
I wonder what would happen if I jumped again.

Your quote: You will get sucked into the sun or into another universe and then your poetry-writing days are over!! So, don't be in a hurry to do so... not just yet. lol How do YOU think this poem would look if the poem had a space above and below it to look centered?! Your poem is adorable and anything about space is going to catch my attention. : ) Welcome to WC, Lauren!! xox -Mark
