Doom

Doom

A Poem by Sapphire Naylor

I'm screaming their name hoping they notice, I don't understand.

How can they be in their own cloud of doom?

They beg for someone to help them,

they cry till they're dry.

How can they be in their own cloud of doom?

I help them,

teach them all that I know.

I scream and I whisper,

I yell and I moan.

How can they be in their own cloud of doom?

I answer them constantly and listen and fret.

I tell them what's needed so much they can't forget.

How can they still be in their own cloud of doom?

I don't know what to do, I've given up hope.

Rest and rejoice in your own cloud of doom...

Well said! A perfect demonstration of how some people are just beyond help (a truly exhausting experience) and the best thing we can do is leave them to it.
I enjoyed this poem a lot, you've managed to deliver quite a dark message in a form that isn't displeasing to read.
Keep writing!

A bird today must be a bird tomorrow. Sometimes acceptance is the best way to go.
Some people will never change...some will...keep an open heart and speak..but don't expect others to hear you or it is you that will suffer...just get up in the morning and do the best you can.

Enjoyed it

Sometimes you simply can't get through to people. You showed this nicely in your poem.

Good writing, well said, put nature in your place, nature telling everyone how to live, we are not listening, learn from nature, go back to nature, enjoyed it

Thank You :)
It's appealing to try and help others. However sometimes there are historical reasons of why they suffer that we cannot fully understand. Empathy is healing, because in its most genuine form, it is actually very rare.

Great poem.
