Burning the Backyard

Burning the Backyard

A Poem by Juni Parks
"

empty houses gone to seed empty kitchens with no one to feed Dolores Monet

"
Gray Fence rot
Kettle Black pot
No latch No Gate No door
Old Blue Old boat No oar

Turkey Ham Split
Duck Lard Spit
Fence Fire Pit

Flea Bite Mice Tails
Cat Slice Hay Bails
Puddle rain stale
Sparrow drown pail

Dog ruff Night shine
Tree twinkle Bottle wine
Feather twigs Branch bang
Window crack curtains hang
Nail rust Plank hair
Three legs Broken chair
