PlunderLand
A Poem by Juni Parks
'I'd like nothing more than simply everything' Anonymous
Here is an elegant, opulent land where the plunderers live cash in hand and richly tanned where the pickings are fine, cloud nine and feathery grand where the pillaging is cream, choice and at hand
A Cardinal Land where the plunderers live without shame or lament where the prizes are without peace or joy where the pilfering is without honor or virtue
A Biblical Land where the plunderers give not charity or gifts where the profits give not loss or debt where the prices give not relief or rest
A Godly Land where the plunderers give not hope or faith where the sacred is not pure or pious where the holy is not divine or spiritual
A Saintly Land where the plunderers are sinless wonders where no where is a scoundrel or a villain, or a rat, or a louse, or lowlife, or a con, convict or crook
An Elegant Land where greed and avarice have no stand where gluttony and vice is not in demand And, where, really, Time is unreal, in doubt and in remand

About
and now sometimes I'm interviewed, they want to hear about life and literature and I get drunk and hold up my cross-eyed, shot, runover de-tailed cat and I say,"look, look at this!" Charles Bukowski more..
