Ocean eyes

Ocean eyes

A Poem by Vincent Makhathini

Eyes sea salt
My eyes salt
The waves somersault my sorrows
The spring of summer awakens my waltz
The living wake;
comfort in ending
Bittersweet is the theme written on every wall
Blue period and I'm sinking deep
Absinthe lingering in my mind
Pebbles lazily dragged to and fro inside my crown
Impediments tame sea of rage
That usurps the florarity of the crown
Not of thorns or horns but flowers
Things fall apart darker shades ashamed
Feeling stained, so white is the substitute
Death lurks inside your bowl, like a man camouflaged with a bow and arrow in hand
