Wind-Kissing-Land (Contributors; Eye and Q)

A Poem by Vincent Makhathini

The gentle breeze, intertwines with the tall trees
whistle gently inviting the grains of sand to the upper sphere
Breath
Withstand the burning eye like the sphinx
Safeguarding the 'triangles'
Hold on to your soul don't bow to any Chi;
that knocks
Three fold yourself, be whole
Religion over reason
Reason above religion
Lost
Lost in nebulas
Searching the stars for the reason to reach
Seeing glimpses of heaven
Lies are haven but we gate crashing the pearly gates to glare at the truth
Burning the swaying trees - mind be still
I steal sips of youth from the deserted oasis
Hold your purity
Impure impulsive imps kicking down your senses
Senseless
You fail to smell the floral gardens our minds portray
Servings
Tasteless to you this food for thought is
But you swing your arms blinded by the lies
Seek the truth with your hands
It's sensitive to touch
We stab and jab at it
Hoping the pain frees you
The sedating high of lies is addictive
