BitterSweet (Tapiwa and Celestial Thinker)

BitterSweet (Tapiwa and Celestial Thinker)

A Poem by Vincent Makhathini
"

Its like maynard sour words. A good taste with a bitter taste.

"
Love turned to hate,
And wine turned bitter
Promises faded, trust broken
Hate wedded with vice,
blinded by this love which has no eyes
Left in resentment, with nostalgia as a reminder of true love
Battle scars visible all over those chocolate brown thighs
Once a turf bearing treasure but now the trench has been dug
What once seemed like a fairy tale,
Has now vanished into thin air,
None could tell;
It was actually there,
Soul so broken,
It requires more than a love token;
To be fixed,
Feelings messed up and all mixed,
Not knowing where to go,
Hurting deeply but failing to let go,
Because its the only thing there was to life,
Though full of strife.. Damn this world is rough
