NoLoveReflection

A Poem by Vincent Makhathini
"

This piece aims to afirm that not every persn you fall inlove with, loves you.

"
Baby when I lay
With no one by my side, but my pillows
I remain pensive, about a Goddess
You alone feed my joy
I keep smiling after crying, God-bless
I keep dreaming while awake
Even though the love I have for you sometimes seems unappreciated
This is deeper ,than the love drowning, of the living wake
the loving fool I am keeps the love alive

I love me enough for you and I
sometimes it helps to be true, and not fake it
End it if you don't love me or have lost touch with my ways
It will hurt at first but I will find inner peace
If I could do it for you I would

But what if I have you misunderstood?

Who am I kidding, I'm in-love with you while you are in-love with another man
With time the spiritual sector you ruined will mend
If I had to face you, I would turn mute as you did when I asked you whether you love me or not
It breaks me to get a thank you when I tell you that I love you
Not once have you said those words but I stay true to you
