A Little Life Lost

Sadness surrounds

as anger rebounds

while another tragic

life is now lost

the why and how

may never be known

yet many speculate

her own mother, was

the cause and shown

from her own disregard

after the fact

of her daughter now gone!

Let's all put aside

the hate we feel

deep down inside

and focus on what

is now our concern, that

the beautiful life

of a little girl is now

tragically lost

to the world

So many mothers,fathers,

grandmothers and grandfathers

feel that justice was not done

in her honor

let's all move on and remember

that little Caylee will never

get to play again.....

get to grow up to be a young lady

nor have a family

of her own

for she is now among

those who's lives are lost

before their time

was allowed to shine!

When we lose our babies. Old heart will never heal. Wishes for laughter and sound of small footsteps will haunt our life. Thank you for a excellent poem. We need to remember those special people and children.

What a beautiful tribute to Caylee Anthony, who now dances with angels whilest floating above us in the sky and who sits peacefully on the distant stars remembering her hell on earth. You may want to check out my short story "The Shaken Innocent;" let's hope that this story ends like that, in the end!

This is so true and so sad. It greatly bothers me when things like this happen in our world. Especially since justice was not done in this case. You have penned this thought well.

What a tragedy it was and we may never know what really happened... people blame the jurors but it in reality was the prosecutors not building a solid case. The wheels of justice go flat sometimes. may Caylee rest in peace away from the pain and hate.
