Saying Adieu!

A poem about the struggle of letting go.

SAYING ADIEU

Can I move on

when my heart

is longing for

what you meant

to me?

Should I move on

to find another

that will make

my heart sing, and

putting a smile

on my face?

It's hard

when the heart

and mind conflict

with each other

being in a constant

flux of turmoil!

My mind says go....

but the heart says no

stay and fight

for what is yours

should be yours

forever, like I claimed

Yet, I fear now

its time to listen

to what my mind

is telling me, and

override my beating heart

saying adieu to you!
