As I watch you leave

go off in the sunset

nor do I cry or wave

goodbye to you

instead, I pick up the

pieces of my shattered heart

I will mend what's broken

never letting another

do what you've done

My life is my own

protect and defend

is what I shall do

to insure its safety

from such tragedy

ever befalling me again

Falling.......

oh what a fool

I have become

thinking you'd be here

for me

in my time of need

But no more

never again

I was fooled once, twice

there shall not be a thrice

no more waiting

will there be

I, alone will take

care of me!
