The Wonders of Punishment Time

This was probably how my kids really felt when I would make them watch Heidi as a form of punishment! The names have been changed to protect the innocent, mainly me! Enjoy!

'Ahhh, here we go

being punished by

watching this movie, again'

Johnny thinks in his head

Mom calls this punishment,

I call it a time out!

Donnie thinks it's stupid,

so does my sister Sally

But me- I think she's pretty

so what if she has a weird name

she's cute, with her curly hair

wish I could dance like her too

Donnie's thinking ' this is so tough,

being punished with watching TV,

and a stupid movie too!

Oh well, it beats doing homework!'

Sally is just mindlessly staring

and thinking ' I broke that glass,

on purpose; just so Mom

would plop us three down here'

Ahhh, the wonders of being punished!
