The Last Kiss
I could hear the whistle from the train coming. It travelled up the hill, through the forest and into the quaint village. As it was dawn, the last of the cold white snow had not quite left so a cool breeze was blowing. The clock ticked as I stood in the station tightly wearing my jacket. I glanced up to see some children, a street vendor was selling a balloon to one. I assumed the family were traveling on their last holiday. Just then I heard a horse neighing off in the distance. My eyes settled onto the lake, where a lone swan headed into a shrouded mist. Soon the train pulled up, I turned to see Gregory. He came up to give me a last kiss goodbye. I was soon filled with happiness, I saw rainbows and felt butterflies! © 2010 Ice QueenJen |
