A Spider's Web

While having my only door open, I spied a lone spider string and this is what I thought about it.

A Spiders Web

A thin fine string

shines in the sun

as rays of gold

hit the sides

glistening whilst it shimmers

briefly for but a moment

as a lone spider makes its way

from point a to point b.....

in search of a place to make

a new web of intricate design

to catch an unwary prey

for its meal, a morsel of delight

to them I suppose its delicious, yet

sometimes a cruel sport to watch

as amazing at the wonder

it has created from this lone

fine string that only a spider.....

a spider can create.

I don't like spiders but i do like to watch them spin a web. It is quite fascinating. We could sew like they spin webs the fashion industry would be put out of business. This is a very detailed and descriptive poem. I love your word choices for this piece and I love how you describe how they get their meal. I like the sun ray shining on the string. Great imagery.

Although thy are creepy you do have to hand it to their cunningness... and they do control the pest population... I thought this was quite creative and fun.

like the imagery in this alot ..overall I thought this was a really cool piece very creative and it was nice to see a spider poem that didn't have a horror feel to it... great job :)
