                               My Heart

 

 

As I'm laying in bed thinking

of mending my broken heart

Is it you that can help erase

The dark spot he to had start

 

The pain he brought me

was unlike I'd ever felt

I've gone through the stages

till I began to melt

 

I'm slowly reaching out

to the kindness you show

letting you help bring back

a smile and a wonderful glow

 

Just seeing you causes

my heart to pitter-patter

when we talk to each other

I find nothing else matters

 

I want to be your only

thoughts all the time

but life gets in our way , so

I know you're not fully mine

 

This time I am not rushing

and for that I know

for now we'll be friends, unless

something else seems to grow

 

You showed to me

that life does go on

even with the bad-

there comes

the good

once

again!
