Being Homeless

I am bruised & broken

tattered & torn

No where to go

no place to call home

I've been down on my luck

tossed out like the trash

pushed aside by many

and I have no cash

I am hating to beg... but

my heart does bleed

I'm no different than you

wont you stop my tragedy

Stop and look around

I'm not the only one

there's so many of us

who can't make it, you see

because we're broken & bruised

tattered and torn

been tossed out like the trash

or left so forlorn.

Heart wrenching write. I do understand it as well been there done that. People are quick to judge not understanding how quickly something like this could happen to a person.

You poured a great deal of emotion into this poem. I hope things look up for you soon.
