 Have you forgotten?

your sweet words to me

how you said you loved me

and always will be

 

You searched high and low

for the special someone

but, after you found her

you turned & walked away

 

You said " I'm sorry, that

the time isn't right."

you'd rather be lonely

and put up a good fight

 

A showy display, that

you're a happy man

all I can say is...

" I'll love you how I can!"

 

My heart you cracked

from your solemn vow

yet consoled by the fact

you'll only love me-now

 

So never forget- when

the lights turn low

my thoughts go back

to how you loved me so!
