Progress

Progress

A Poem by Ice QueenJen

No matter what we do, say or want out of life... it goes on in the form of progress. My friend wrote this poem, Tatiana Rose...enjoy life even though it changes everyday!

Progress

The workers came

Silence broken

As dawn came

Can't sleep any

As I try to get well

From the germs

Invading my soul

A crazy illness

That man has

Never Been able

To control, ever

As hard as they try

Once it gets its grip

Inside your body,

It's hard to shake

Them free...

But workers don't care

They have a job to do

Finishing the sidewalk

That will be going in

Across the street, and

Time will tell if this cold

Lasts before the sidewalk

Falls into disrepair...

I love reading about mundane situations in life because that is what life is for most of us dull and somewhat depressing of the repeated monotonous chores...and I enjoy simplicity of it. Nice write. :)
