This is a quaint story about a lonely ladybug and how she feels.

Lonely Miss Lady Bugg

Whoosh... whoosh... went the cars as they drove by. Not one, but many of all sizes , shapes and colors. Miss Bugg lived next to a rose bush, making sure no other bugs attacked the bushes.

She had traveled a long ways in a box with many other bugs of her kind. All the others went their own way after being released. But Miss Lady Bugg decided to stay put and make her home near the beautiful red rose bush that seemed to endlessly bloom.

Since she felt unique she added another “ G” to her last name. Instead of being just a lady bug, she separated her name then added the other “G”. Only after a few years did she become lonely, even though there had been other spiders and such near her home. Yet they tended to stay near the building and hide, only coming out to find food or a mate.

But she never associated with them, nor did they with her. Oh, they were polite when the saw each other, but since they didn't look alike she did her best to stay close to the middle of the bush. After awhile she found herself needing a companion, so she began to wonder if she should seek out a new home where she could find a suitable mate. Miss Lady Bugg looked around to see what other plants were around her bush. Then she looked up at the pretty red roses above her and decided to stay for now while doing her job.
