Being Human

Being Human

A Poem by Ice QueenJen
"

What makes you a human, sometimes life hits you hard and brings you back to reality that none of us is perfect.

"

Being Human

“ to be or not to be”

something someone said

many years ago in

a different time & place

Yet, it's still apropos

in this place & time

the sky is blue, grass green

only I am different

My brain doesn't

function like it should

from one fatal flaw

in my DNA... I think

See I was born

with a foreign entity

inside my head

that I have no control over

When I get stressed

I begin to shake

is it from the tumor

nobody really knows

Being human

is a flaw in itself

we are imperfect

from the time of birth

Some more, some less

we each have issues

we are dealing with

something to remember

Since through one man

sin entered the earth

so even if we strive

we are all flawed
