Wondering if its worth moving on.

SITTING

I sit alone

night after night

will I ever

get

over my fright?

It

happened once

will it twice

or is it thrice?

I do not know

if I could handle

being hurt

over & over again

so

day after day

then

night upon night

I sit alone,

and

think about my fright.

I admire the strength you still have, being alone, and sitting alone, is for some a hell, a truly hell, I love it, but I'm weird... so I can imagine how hard this must have been, it shows up in your write, it is beautifully sad, but yet so strong. Thank you dear poetess, for your honesty.

anxiety and fear at its finest. Sometimes we have to take a STAND against it and MOVE forward leaving the fear in the past where it should be. I like this poem for it shows real emotions that spring up and take over if we allow them to.

I know just what you mean Jen. This is heartbreaking. I would just say with the greatest repect it is not just women that are abused by men. It can often be the other way around. I think all that abuse are scumbags no matter what sex.
