The Sun

Written in concurrence with our oppressive heat wave on the west coast!

THE SUN

The sun is high

in the sky

after slowly rising

to shine down

on the earth

Sharing its bright

color for the people

as they rise up

like robots turned on,

automatons going

here and there

programmed

to exist

Yet, one the sun

shares its excessive

heat

down on the world

many stop in their

tracks of life, and

that's when they

remember

they are alive!
