Sleep

I just want to be able to sleep at night,isn't that when we are supposed to close our eyes.

 

SLEEP

As darkness falls

I try and sleep

it alludes me still

laying motionless

my thoughts, my worries

from the day off

the wheels keep

turning, churning

my gears grind

as I lay in the

darkness of the night

finally, I sleep

too long again

making my day

drag on, sleepily

I sit feeling

sluggish, lethargic

my brain is in a fog

even though its light.

A beautiful portrayal of what sleep is all about .....
when not being able to sleep ..... and when one
feels sluggish /lethargic after getting from the sleep a vicious circle
created by nature itself leaves us stunned .......... great write said in
selected words with immense flow.......

An honest portrayal of the vicious cycle of sleep. Unfortunately, we are creatures of habit. I'm absolutely positive we can look forward to many more sleepless nights. I just had one last night! Thanks for sharing. Keep Writing!!!
