Pain

Pain

By: Liz

Pain is a crutch fitted under the arm of the world

it bubbles up in people like an incurable virus

It breaks through the skin to the surface like acid

It slices the world into a trillion pieces with a blade made of lies

Pain drowns the world in a pool of misery concocted by all the painful scenes,

All the horrific moments,

Stuffed into every second

Pain drives people insane

It leads them to betrayal

It drags them into the darkness

Pain steals there hope

Butchers there love

And replaces it with fear

Pain reaches into the depths of there soles and forces out their despair

It drives a rusty knife through the heart of their faith

It plants the rotten seeds of horrible memories

Never to be up rooted

Pain destroys love and demolishes family

It replaces the once light riddled life with anger

And the irrevocable thirst to survive over basic human instincts

Only the lucky come back from fear

Only the lucky perceiver

Only the lucky thrive in the light once again
