Chapter 6A Chapter by @julizaLuxChapter 6 Lux Year 4004 “Oh yeah, I’m Lux Pluvia.” I shoved out the words absentmindedly. “I have been looking for you since I was eleven and you were in the slave mines? I can’t tell you how many times I must have been only feet away from you, and then, suddenly you're showing up, in an explosion of water, on my doorstep. I mean,” I probably would have kept talking if he hadn't stopped me. “What do you mean? Looking for me? And what does this word, acqua mean?” “The Spanish word aqua or water drives from it, and Igins mean fire. Have you ever heard of a prophecy?" he nodded "This book if full of them. 600 years ago a group of Magica monks blessed the book, giving it the power you just saw. But the prophecies that are fulfilled fade.” I flipped back a few pages showing off the fading ink and blurring words. “The power, the magic, no longer has a holder, an anchor to this universe, so it floats useless until it finds a new one or fades back into the world it was harnessed from. When you touched the book all the power the prophecies left behind was used to forever mark you for what you are. A magic user. And thats your prophecy.” I pointed back at the page. Nix's eyes scanned the words in disbelief.© 2015 @juliza |
