Morning Sun

Morning Sun

A Story by joe

I never thought I would see the minutes pass by so fast… Waiting I looked up at strangers sitting, leaving, oncoming, and weaving by. Hoping to see your face or at least someone with a distinction resembling your features.

I never thought I would see the minutes pass by so fast… Losing it beyond recognition. I finally see you and feel as if what I imagined was better than what came to be and what was expected never came to truly fulfill my desires. Memories of our times when our hearts used to beat for what I thought each other…

Why is it that the little things get overlooked so easily?

I don’t mind when you take your time, but still I gotta feel a little bit uneasy my dear.

Waiting for you to write back so I can certify this feeling. The sooner you write the sooner this pain will go. Get my mind out of this dimension that’s too cold for me darling. This change in me, sitting back; out alone set as a voyager, lucky for me I’m not the only one. Traveling looking for new experiences even when I’m full. Till the morning sun feels exhausting.

In this moment I won’t fake it and never break it because I can’t take it anymore. It’s been so long I had forgotten how easy it is for me to attract others. Have first impressions become so inclined to give themselves on our first night with impressive hubris, I so casually lounge with.

Or maybe it’s just I had been taken for granted for so long. Depreciated with a sense of worthlessness and unease to open myself up. Giving commitment I so hardly give with the uncertainty of yours always lying in the back of my mind.

Walking my fingers down someone else’s hair, laughing, and smiling with out guilt. Perhaps a kiss of breakfast for later this afternoon?

The day’s ongoing, a new smell in the air has me walking down these streets. Ambiance displayed by my movements with a jump in my step that has got me singing down the road. Heading to anywhere… My darling I can walk without thinking of you now, and thank goodness this day has barely started. Early morning looking forward I carry on.

Maybe I just need a little patience I never thought I would see the minutes pass by so fast waiting till the morning sun carried on forward to anywhere my dear.
