Speak

Speak

A Story by joe

Too often you say hi, but how often do you actually mean it? Words are not just words, they carry more than a message.

The mixture and usage of these words when communicating can send more than was intended

At times say more than what you can do.

Make this place into a beautiful world despite all its faults.

They can make you notice someone when they’re not around.

Tell me,

Say anything as long as you haven’t said it too often.

Honest and old that is why you can confide in me,

Emotions uttered, but words are not expressed. Why?

Is that why you kept on looking at me as if you were searching for something?

My words can never be as neat and eloquent as your’s when speaking, my words are too hard in sound and don’t roll of the tongue as if I’m picking all the words that should have never been paired  together.

First staring off into you, Now thinking

When we met, it was too hard to talk to you

To come up with a topic that’ll interest you

Now you get sick of me when I run off with words,

Only when I’m around you

I can speak my mind, or maybe your that someone I just get lost in thought when I am with

It is these moments that I’ll remember for the soon, but later future to acknowledge

When it seems I’ve been like a blind man staring at a mirror with his eyes shut.
