The Sailor's First LoveA Poem by MalaA tale of a navy man and his first loveHe looked at her adoringly Love shining bright in his eyes. He didn’t notice the way Time had just passed by. Was it the shimmy of her curves That allured her to him ? Or was it the way the sunlight hit Her silky skin? Oh the way she moved Swaying her voluptuous hips, As a smile adorned Her pale white lips. By her calm peacefulness He was enamored with It was her fiery passion That drew him in. He relished the crashing waves Of her pent up rage And was her sturdy rock Throughout those days She was dangerous and a killer They all said But danger never scared him And neither did death With welcoming arms He opened his heart And even as he grew old They never grew apart He bought a house
So as to be near her By the shores they’d meet But never further His days of masts and orders Were well past behind But the sea would always be his first love No matter who else he finds. © 2018 MalaAuthor's Note
