30 problems lesbians face

i know that some of these might sound too extreme but they are true to some extent for everyone. if i have sadly missed anything at all please comment below and i will add it.

Coming out:

1.       Homophobic parents

2.       Having to come out everyday

3.       Your country making it illegal to be gay

 

Things people say:

4.       Telling you you’re too pretty to be gay

5.       Telling you that you don’t look gay

6.       Telling you you’re just having a phase

7.       Telling you that you just haven’t been with the right guy and that’s why you’re gay

8.       Telling you that gay sex is not real sex

9.       Referring you sexuality as gay but theirs as normal for example saying ‘what’s the difference in lesbian sex and normal sex?’)

 

Things people do:

10.   Not believing you

11.   Straight girls asking to experiment with you as though your sexuality is a game

12.   Introducing you to their other lesbian/ bisexual friends

13.   Expecting you to look like a stereotype

 

Things that change once you out in the open:

14.   Getting creeped out when you look at them now that they know

15.   All your girl-friends thinking you like them

16.   People thinking you like all girls/all lesbians

17.   Not being comfortable changing in the same room as you anymore

18.   Feeling uncomfortable wearing skirts/ tanks around you

 

Attractions:

19.   Falling for a straight girl

20.   Getting hit on by guys

21.   Being too scared to ask a girl out/ hit on a girl in case she is straight

22.   Being unrecognized by other lesbians as they aren’t sure that you are interested unless you look exactly like a stereotype would

23.   Having to label yourself (dress-up for example) to be distinguished

 

Dating:

24.   People referring to your girlfriend as your friend

25.   Both of you having your periods at the same time

26.   Your girlfriend not being comfortable in coming out yet when you are completely ready

27.   Your girlfriend getting jealous when a guy hits on you

 

Sex:

28.   Telling you gay sex is not real sex

29.   Asking you for threesomes

30.   Half a month gone as both of you will have your periods

I never realized just how hard it is, I knew that lots of people don't accept gays and lesbians just because of their sexual orientation. Still its not fair to them to be treated differently just because they like the same gender. You did an excellent job getting your point across and I'm sure anyone who reads this will think twice before doing any one of these things.

You make some provocative points on here that made me think. I never realized any of this.

However this is labeled a story and it's more like a blog post or outline for an essay. I don't see a clear narrative. Unless was meant to be avant garde or an experimental story structure.

Grammar error "Referring you sexuality"- I think you mean referring to your sexuality?

But this was interesting and I enjoyed reading it!
