The comedy of life....is all the baggage we carry around from time immemorial....there reall isn't anything funny about it, but I loved how you showed that to us in you "play".... people laugh away their tears, because life is hard and we are always trying to make things eight....comedy is really tragedy in a sense...well written, really like it....
Warmly, B

Thanks again Betty
Your words go back a while but then, we human beings one and all, like it or not, carry our past with us. that time left a mark on Mankind, taught one and all what isolation meant, how tragedy played a part day in, day out. Can only hope and pray that things in general are kinder, less painful.
Wishing you a gentle but generous Summertime, Christmas on the beach and happiness rippling your hours. Happy Everything and - many, many thanks for your skills and Self - always. Sisterly hug !

As tired as I am of this act I'm not sure I want to be around for act no. 5
Try pulling down the blinds and reading some Archie comic books
Just a thought

Thanks yes
Or peanuts
Anything to stop the media
Hope you are well ,
Hi Julie, these last few years have been terrible years, the loss of life, to Covid has been extreme. Would that we could rewrite the whole scenario and have a different play. Such sadness does fill my thoughts so much at these times. You write in real, honest words such painful thoughts of sadness. You do it so well Julie. Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs always....Mike.
And this is why I do not watch the news. this poem also reminds me of how, as a society, we have lost our sense of humor. Crack a joke about the accepted narrative, and you get crucified. Perhaps we need to write our own play, and tell the rest of the playwrights to go to hell.
the new version of life...
I prefer the old one, the one in black and white...colorized seems fake...
and now too many of us are forced to watch in seclusion...
we have lost touch with each other in the past two years.
life happens...but this play has run for too many nights...
Time for a new one to open.
nicely done, Julie,
j.

Hello dear Julie. I love the dance of words.
"The comedy of life
Who’s laughing ?"
The last laugh, most time. We do not get. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I love how your writing is a bit abstract, but still full of meaning, so it's not hard to piece together the message that speaks to each reader. I have not had any impact from covid, but watching from the sidelines it can sometimes feel as if life is never going back to any semblance of how it used to be, pre-covid. That's what your poem reminds me of, what it must be like to be in the middle of the mystery as it unfolds around the planet (((HUGS)))
Amateur old poet well not that old but not a young 20 anymore I live to write I write at least five poems ditties every weekend and a few during week I write quickly it just flows and bu.. more..
